We believe the Holy Scriptures, the original biblical manuscripts of the 66 books of the bible are the inspired word of God. We believe that the original biblical manuscripts are infallible and determinative in issues of faith. (2 Peter 1:20-21, 2 Timothy 3:16-17)*
* Our translation of preference is the King James Version. We understand it to be an accurate and reliable translation. It has served us well since the foundation of our ministry.
We believe there is one God who is omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscience, absolutely holy, and without beginning or ending, who exists eternally and co-equally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Psalm 139:7-10, Mark 10:27, Hebrews 4:13, 1 Peter 1:15-16, Luke 3:22)
We believe that through man’s disobedience sin entered into the world and death through sin. (Genesis 2:15-17, Genesis 3:17-24, Rom. 5:12)
We believe that every man must appear before the judgment seat of Christ whom God has appointed to judge mankind. (Hebrews 9:27, 2 Corinthians 5:10, Acts 17:30-31)
We believe that God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, to be the Savior of the world. (John 3:16, Matthew 1:18)
We believe that through the shedding of His blood, Jesus Christ provided the only way in which all men may receive salvation from and forgiveness of their sins. (John 14:6, Hebrews 9:14)
We believe that Jesus rose the third day after His death on the cross. (Luke 24:46, 1 Corinthians 15:1-7)
We believe that salvation is truly received when a person repents of all his/her sins, willingly forsakes them, and believes in Jesus for the salvation of his/her soul. (Luke 13:5, Acts 26:20)
We believe in taking the Lord’s Supper with a clear conscience as a remembrance of Jesus and a proclamation of His death until He comes. (1 Corinthians 11:17-34, Luke 22:14-20, Matthew 26:26-30, Mark 14:22-26)
We believe in washing the feet of the saints in accordance with the example of Jesus. (John 13:14,
1 Timothy 5:10)
We believe that baptism by immersion in water should be accomplished by every believer after they have been saved. (Romans 6:3-5, Colossians 2:12, Acts 8:12, Acts 16:14-15, Mark 1:9-10)
We believe the results of salvation are exemplified by a sin-free life (Romans 6:17-18) and a love for the Word of God and the saints of God - especially those who labor in the Word and doctrine. These characteristics are true fruits of repentance. We believe that in yielding fruits of repentance, the individual will faithfully fulfill the Four (4) Steps for Spiritual Growth:
* Prayer and Meditation
* Daily Bible Reading
* Witnessing by precept and example
* Assembling and Worship
When the Preceding steps are consistently performed, the results will be a life which will be found acceptable in the sight of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This, after all, is our main objective and goal.
